Our Principal

I am very excited to welcome our Laverna Evans Elementary families in my first year as principal. I look forward to getting to know your students and supporting them in any way I can. Prior to coming to Evans I served various roles at Pontiac-William Holliday District #105 including assistant principal, athletic director, school improvement coordinator, RtI teacher, and 6th grade teacher. I also taught 5th and 6th grade in the Indianapolis area before relocating with my wife to the area in 2009.

I am blessed to have a wonderfully supportive wife, who grew up in the area and attended District 90. I have two daughters, Lily and Lucy, who keep us moving with their activities.

A part of our school wide culture here at Evans is utilizing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). We will focus on rewarding positive behavior and making good choices at school. We hope you will join us in working with our students to achieve this goal.

Our faculty builds great relationships with students and they create strong learning environments for students to be successful. We welcome and encourage a strong partnership between the parents, students, and staff so this will be a fantastic school year here at Evans.

I look forward to connecting with you. Please feel free to come into the office and introduce yourself so we can begin to build those connections.

Sincerely,

Brad Gotshall
